Out Cold

Why not extend your peak at least for this month, northeast monsoon? You made me fall in love with your cooler wind gust and all of a sudden, you slipped away. Hmm...Even the people in the North are now irritated-yet-happy with the dripping slush all over their place which is a hint of spring's approach. Is it just a natural changeover to warm atmospheric condition or simply because it's a month of love that make us feel the warmth? Which do ya think?  But even so,  no season can pull me away from wearing this pullover.

Ironically, I've been desperately eyeing for faux fur coat and alike since then, despite my hiatus with hairy mammals as it makes me shiver from touching their undercoats. Well as you look at me now, I am cozily wrapped up with this soft and thick fake wool long pullover. Oops, please don't get wrong with my look, I'm not a baa-baa-black sheep. Hihi!

I love how minimal and versatile this piece is, it can be a coat and a casual dress in one. You need not to worry much on mix-and-match or layering matters. Too loose that you can hide your true figure, just in case you want or need. It's also lightweight that you can carry easily and move comfortably despite it's thickness. For once, I can even be huggable for becoming so fluffy. Tehee!

Just so much I envy those wintry wardrobes, I also give legwear a try by settling with these below-the-knee socks and sequined pumps instead of knee-high boots to spice up a more sophisticated casual look, especially that all is in black.

Ere The Flowers Unfold

Flowers start to unfold in the spring/summer time wherein floral prints start to appear on everyone's ensemble. At this point in time, I'm not excited unlike how this array appeals. These flowers have just bloom on my pants so early that I ought to show off their beauty soon before their petals fall and get withered. We often see flowers having vivid colors right then and there resembled to floral prints,  this one is merely a bit far-out. The azure and greenish shades of this print brings out a cool and unmarred fresh vibe which wouldn't detached in an ambiance not yet suitably warmed up.

Oftentimes, when we want to emphasize a multihued or full detailed piece, we choose to fall in with a plain one, especially in a staple white. That's what I did to get a focus on my floral prints, but as how it appeared to me now, it didn't go that way. My plain sleeveless top steals the center of attraction for it has also something to get allured to, that is its pleated chiffon high-low back design. Yay or nay? I know for an hour you'll be freezing coz we're  still stuck on a cold weather, but dare to wear it  and let this back cover get carried off by the strong blow of the wind that would make a dramatic effect on your casual outfit! That would be great as I imagine! Hmm...

To add more, I put on earrings with a touch of gold and white that are as dainty as pearls; a mint green necklace with dazzling stones to contrast the white top yet complement on the floral prints. I've even got a chance to flaunt my classic white pointed shoes. These embellishments make a final touch on my refined and classy style statement.

Buckle Down Not Under

You'll never appreciate a less noticeable piece until you've styled it.
Just as when my rounded eyes landed to this three-quartered length sleeves on a rummage sale, at first sight I wonder when to use and how to style it knowing that this isn't a trendy piece. I've got a second thought of not buying it, but still, you see me wearing it now. I purchased it to best avoid regrets; because in rummage sale, there's only one piece available in every item, it's a now or never policy. This is as low as 5php, anyways!

I know what you see in me: a school girl, a flight attendant, or Sailor Moon version 2.0 either. Yes, this look is cut from the same cloth of the aforementioned, but being one? It's a triple no,no,no! I'm done with my schooling with not so satisfied uniforms, yet unfinished to go after my dream of becoming a flight attendant, not to be the next Sailor Moon 2.0. haha! What's really good in fashion and style, there's no such dress code nor rules and regulations to comply with, we are all free to go beyond our limitations, dress up in any version we like to be and flaunt to many. As long as we feel like dressing this look up, so be it!

I tried something new by wearing something old. With oversize buttons and the bell-like wide hem on the sleeves make this top so vintage. It's also cool because it's a cropped top, considering that cropped top is a mainstream piece. So to keep my vintage look still on trend, I matched it with a skater skirt. There's now a balance between old and new.

Of course, who wouldn't be beguiled with a pair of shoes with more than one strap buckle? I bought this on a rummage sale for only 180php. A bit expensive compared to my other shoes. haha! Something classy has come out on this look because of this pair. This totally complement my newfangled vintage self-colored look as they go all in navy blue.

The idiomatic title of this look was originated from my three strap buckle shoes. (Can't get rid of it! hihi!) Not to be so dramatic, but seriously, once you've got the chance to dive in into something, there should be no point of turning back. Just in my case, I'm a newbie blogger, beginnings are the hardest, some bloggers have gone their way so far, a thousand miles ahead of me, but I have no other choice but to give my best shot, dedication and passion. I compare not but be inspired with them for the road we've taken are just the same. So, no matter what-when-how, just buckle down, never buckle under, for fulfillment of dreams & happiness will go buckle up on you! (Here's a tissue paper. :'D)

Down-to-Gaia

Dreary & dusty, that's my perception on this toned-down hue of brown. In line with clothing, it's a certain color to wear during spring and autumn, but not apt in winter and summer. Nevertheless, I passed over the rule because we don't have snow here (yet?) haha. I'm still thankful that my semblance is ideal to the raging, blowy and chilly breeze we have here now which is obviously seen on my hair, what do you think?

The shade of brown could also speak of no
direction just as I am togged up, from top to toe, with this monochromatic earth tone-ain't certain of what attitude to limn. Until I've come up with a long sleeve top mated to a skirt and booties on, a lovely damsel is exhibited then. Yes, this might have been a typical pattern these days, but a match of lace to leather, of sweet to grunge, I think these minutiae make it pretty unusual.

"Where's the leather??!!", you might ask with screaming voice. haha. Looking closely to my skirt, you can clearly see that it isn't made of ordinary fabrics, the brown stripes are in leather texture...do you see now? And when you try to look on the black portion, it has a resemblance of chiffon fabrics but this is actually made of creep papers. KIDDING! haha. Nah, I just can't figure out what kinda fabric is that, tell me please? But that is unique, indeed.

These two photos are actually "SAYANG!" I am blurred! My bf/photorapher needs more practice! :)

Laces... floral and lovely laces I have on my top. I bought this two years ago and just store it in my closet on the grounds that I can't push myself into this track yet. It's overwhelming that somehow, I can now flaunt my most treasured pieces and share them to you, finaaallyy! Anyhow, I just adore how dainty this piece is especially when I turned my back. Do you see that V-shaped design with laces? Isn't it better when your piece has back details too? While most people commonly thought that it's enough to put all the details in front, you show it off, they throw compliments and it's over, why not turn their heads and get them surprised by flaunting your back with something that they could give another "wow" reaction? I'm pretty sure you won't get the same admiration; by that time, you'll be more worth -seeing in any angle, front or back, either.

Red Letter Days

Hooray for 2014!

I started this year by wearing something extreme red for it signifies an extreme good luck all throughout the year- sort of a Chinese tradition. haha! Amazingly, not quite long, an opportunity has already kicked down my door. Oh, geez! A day before my birthday, the school which I applied for a teaching position called me up to say that my demo teaching was scheduled on the day after my big day. Should I consider it a good or a bad news? Preparing a lesson for my demo in just a day was bad, and knowing that, that day was my birthday...oh really worst! haha! A stressful birthday, my friends said. But to be so optimistic, I still consider it a blessing in disguise. Alright! Then, my day turned out to be so busy and tiring, but unexpectedly, a guy from a faraway land, (sounds fairy tale?) came to surprise me and made my day still a freakin' special one! How sweet he is! And I'm so glad because my demo teaching was a success after all. (phew! It should be. haha!) Well, I think this was the short story behind my title, Red Letter Days; and it won't stop there coz' more surprises and challenges are awaiting for me this year and so to you, guys!

Now going back to what should be posted here- my outfit, this twist hot red halter dress really portrays a classy and fabulous look. Most Filipinos might name it Maria Mercedes' inspired; well, aside from my red lips, do you think it's teasingly daring too? Not that much for this dress, it may reveal some skin but this one was cut out in a knee length like a typical pencil skirt and somehow it looks more formal. Perhaps that's one good point to those stylish yet half conservative ladies out there, this dress can't show off your legs, just like mine. You can still reveal your sexy back though!

After all, I just love how it gives a curve on my horizontally fit figure, my waist and hips were emphasized...oh figure flattering. Pairing it with same twist black high heels would be perfect enough to flaunt that glamorous vibe, even without much sparkling accessories. Wearing this dress on special gatherings or on a romantic slash luxurious date (haha!) would definitely give you a head turning moment!

Dress Up With A Heart ❤

Hello everyone!
I just can't hide my excitement because this would definitely be my first ever outfit post I"m gonna share to you now, after five arduous months I've battled just to be on the list of Licensed Teachers! ( Any words of congratulations before you continue scrolling down? hahaha) Kiddin' aside, my looks here is not really my kinda version. You would have thought I'm into a teenage girly-chic. Oh, how I wish, but that's just my teenage dream! (So, why wear Marjh? haha!) Well, how can I blame the gravity for letting me fall in love with this skirt? As you look closer on the details of it, this was printed with cute lil' hearts- which speaks metaphorically about my myriad hearts for fashion. ❤❤

Colors matter. Despite the simplicity, colors can create a different vibe on your ensemble.I chose to match my skirt with a black top and a red cardigan because these are the dark hues I used to love! Red and black state a fit of rave or seduction, but this time, you can still cut a fine figure by putting them on a casual outfit like this one-sophistication remains anyways! Moreover, red can perfectly play around for this Yuletide season; in connection, I worn this outfit as we go out for Christmas shopping. How comfy, isn't it? T'was much more comfortable yet sleek and chic when I just carried a mini body bag and a pair of platform wedge sandals.

And what's kinda "wow" about this outfit? My top and skirt were bought from a rummage sale (Ukay shop!) hihi. Turned off or on? Yes, I'm a certified customer of a low price tag yet so fab and unique pieces!  The next time, I'll give a feature about it! Haha

Top: Rummage Sale
Skirt: Divided by H&M (Rummage Sale)
Bag: Secosana
Shoes: Janilyn

Blogging Is Worth A Try

If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.

Writing is one of my Achilles’ heel; it’s one of the arts I can’t be creative of. It really takes me more than a day just to think of the title, yet the body is still not included.  Though I’ll be a teacher in English soon, I never really got a hard time reading and writing tons of literary pieces just as the typical ones do. Coz you know where I drowned myself at? Call it FASHION! These big rounded eyes of mine were totally magnetized by it, indeed, it’s the reason why I have to dive in to BLOGGING.

FASHION. Fashion for me is simply my satisfaction. It’s not just about wearing what’s trendy, but stating my peculiarity in a fashionable way. It’s not about the brands, but the manner of my own styling and creativity. It’s not about pretty face, but how I feel beautiful the way I carry wardrobes confidently. It’s not more about fishing for compliments, but inspiring others on what I've got. (If I really got something?) In short,  it’s about my happiness and my happiness and my happiness. =)

BLOGGING. When I realized that I can’t tear myself away on chic things and get inspired with those fashion icons, I can’t hang on but to get into the world of fashion. One thing to consider is putting up my own fashion blog, for compilation and expressing my thoughts more about fashion. Therefore, I should cut out my fear in writing, coz it’s mandatory. What’s impressive about blogging, it simply makes a woman smart and sophisticated. And it’s good to know that through fashion, I could intentionally fall in love with writing by and by! Sometimes, God will let you face your fears coz it could be the best way to get into what you really love. Writing is my fear, fashion is my love.  I also believe that blogging is not only for those who are born good writers, but it is also deserved by  those who are aspiring to be like one!

Before, I was just sitting the whole day getting envy with the ladies in their fads, then it popped out in my mind that if other ladies can, why can’t I? There must be no hurdle if you feel like doing something.  Having a hundred percent confidence is enough to start. I may not born as a girl next door nor an author, but this time, I’m gonna make myself a fashionista and a blogger.  So, despite of being a totally newbie in fashion and blogging life, I have already accepted the ‘challenge’ shamelessly---to show off what I've got!

So I welcome you guys here on my very first blog account, I'm patting on my back as well  coz I did make my dream come true!! :) Anyway, I don't wanna see eyebrows raising on me, clear? Kiddin' aside,  I hope this blog could last and be worth reading by anyone.  I look forward to a major transformation you and I could have through it. I do hope it’s all worth a try!

with much appreciation,

(^^,) marjh (^^,)
